farro salad with roasted veg (insalata di farro con verdure al forno):

ingredients
• 400g farro or bulgar wheat
• 3 yellow courgettes, halved lengthways and deseeded
• 2 green courgettes, halved lengthways and deseeded
• 2 bulbs of fennel, trimmed and thickly sliced, herby tops reserved
• 1 red onion, peeled and cut into wedges
• 2 red peppers, halved, deseeded and cut into chunks
• 2 aubergines, cut into chunks
• 4 cloves of garlic
• extra virgin olive oil
• sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
• herb or white wine vinegar
• a good bunch of fresh herbs (flat-leaf parsley, basil, mint, oregano)
• a squeeze of lemon juice

starter | serves 8

Farro is a grain similar to pearl barley, but it’s dried in such a way that instead of being fluffy and spongy it becomes chewy and nutty. You may have difficulty getting hold of it, but if you can find it you’ll be using it all the time – it has an unusual flavour half-way between rice and couscous (this recipe will also work well with both of these). In Italy it was a major food for the ancient Romans, who used it to make bread, porridge and soup before they got hold of wheat. Nowadays it’s used in salads, soups, stews, even pastas. You should be able to buy farro in good Italian delis, and supermarkets have started to stock it in the special selection aisles. Here’s a recipe for one of my fave salads – give it a go.

Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/gas 6. Soak the farro or bulgar wheat in cold water for 20 minutes, then drain. Slice the courgettes across into chunky half-moons and put them into a large roasting tray. Add the remaining vegetables and the garlic cloves and toss together with a good splash of olive oil. Season well with salt and pepper. Try to spread the vegetables out in one layer, as they’ll roast better this way (use 2 trays if you have to). Roast in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, removing the trays and carefully shaking them now and then, until the vegetables are cooked through and crisp around the edges. Sprinkle a little vinegar over the vegetables as soon as they come out of the oven and set aside to cool. When cool, tip on to a large chopping board, add the fresh herbs and chop finely.

Place the farro or bulgar wheat in a large saucepan, cover with fresh cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until tender, and drain well. Dress with olive oil and the lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and toss with the roasted herby vegetables. Scatter over the reserved fennel tops and serve.

• 2 aubergines, cut into chunks
• 4 cloves of garlic
• extra virgin olive oil
• sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
• herb or white wine vinegar
• a good bunch of fresh herbs (flat-leaf parsley, basil, mint, oregano)
• a squeeze of lemon juice

New features of windows 7

Hey I use that..It is just awesome..
This things are new as per my experience:

You might want to check out our article about Windows 7 which has all the information you need to download the beta of the new Microsoft operating system. If you are not convinced yet that this is a good idea read on; You might be surprised:

1. Opening multiple Instances of the same program

Want to open multiple instances of the same program? Maybe a second command prompt or another application that can be opened in multiple instances? Instead of opening the program again the usual way you can simply press the SHIFT key and left-click on the first instance in the Windows Taskbar to open a second one.

2. Problem Steps Recorder

If you ever had to do phone support you know how hard it can be to understand what the user on the other end of the phone did and wants. The Problem Steps Recorder is a sweet little tool in Windows 7 that can be used by the user to record his steps.

All that the user needs to do is start the recorder by entering psr in the Start Menu box and click on Start Record in the program interface. Screenshots will be taken from user actions. It is possible to add comments at any time if the user feels so. The whole recording will be saved as a zip file containing a slideshow of the actions.

3. Pin Favorite Folders

Want to add a favorite folders to Windows Explorer to be able to access them faster? Just drag and drop the folder to the favorites menu. It will remain there until you delete it with the delete key again.

4. Moving Windows and such

Windows 7 introduces several new keyboard shortcuts for window management. Some useful ones are:

* [Windows Shift Left Arrow] or [Windows Shift Right Arrow] to move windows from one computer monitor to another.
* [Windows Left Arrow] or [Windows Right Arrow] to dock windows to the left or right side
* [Windows Up Arrow] to maximize a window
* [Windows Down Arrow] to restore or minimize windows
* [Windows Home] to minimize all windows but the active one

5. Shortcuts to start pinned taskbar items

Pressing [Win Number] will start a new instance of a pinned taskbar item. You should also note that the items can be dragged and dropped into different positions easily.

Basic Conversation Questions for a First Date

Hey all here i want to share some good tips for first date...

A good first date tip: start simple. Some of the best conversation questions are the most basic. Ask about a date’s family – siblings, parents, even pets. But don’t just ask dates how many brothers and sisters they have, ask about those siblings’ line of work, where they live, and especially about the relationship the date has with them. The best first date questions are fun, personal, and revealing. The family is an intimate part of most people’s lives, and is a great topic to start a conversation with.

Another good conversation topic is work. A lot of good conversation questions can revolve around a date’s work, because after all, it is probably what occupies a big chunk of his or her time and energy most every day, so they’ve got it on the mind. That being said, often times work is the last thing some people want to talk about on a date because they’re exhausted from it. If the conversation question hits flat, leave the topic be, but if a date is very engaged in their line of work, this can be a great conversation topic to pursue.

If work is a drag, some of the best conversation questions can center on hobbies and other interests. Starting a conversation about people's hobbies can lead into a long and fruitful conversation because it engages what they’re most interested in. Ask about a date’s hobbies, and be willing to share one’s own. This conversation topic can be especially rewarding if both parties find some overlap of interests, or even inspire interest in one another. Regardless, the topic of hobbies is a great conversation starter.
